In geological terms, Omberg is a horst, with it’s highest point at 240 m. It slopes steeply into Swedens biggest lake, Vättern. You find a lot of hiking trails there, beech woods, oak trees that are up to 500 years old and many flowers, even a few different orchids. Today was my first time walking around in the area around Omberg, but I don’t think it was my last.

My sisters two kids, Ellen 5 and Joel 3, are the apple of my eye. As are my brothers two kids. I feel so lucky every day for having the honour of being their aunt. They bring so much love and playfulness to my veins and thoughts.
And I think I have a vouge-queen in front of my lens these days. I cannot make her just stand and not pose anymore.
I mean just look at this!

The last snow.

Up and away! It’s not a perfect photo, but it sure makes my heart sing.

The little leader marching on with his twigs.

Come and buy pebbles in Ellens store.

Look who we found, my brother. We where watching his son’s, Dennis, fotball game. They won 1-0.

My hometown, Finspång (founded in 1580), is famous for it’s industry which started with making cannons.
Nowadays it’s turbines that brings in the most cash.

I took a ride to Tinnerö the other day. It’s a place in Linköping where a lot of oak trees are growing. There is also a lake called Rosenkällasjön in this area. A big part of Tinnerö is wetland, which makes it rich with flowers and birds. I met several birdwatchers when I was there. It’s a cool area to stroll around in. In summer there are cows there in the meadows on pasturage. I will keep my distance then, since I’m not so brave around cows.

You have seen my tattoo I had made on my arm, you have seen the photo that I took that the tattoo is based on. Now, I wanted to get back to that place and take a picture of it again. Just for the fun of it. I mean that spot is inked into my skin for the rest of my life. I have been driving around a bit where I usally shoot landscape pics, but without any luck. Today I felt like searching in a whole other area. On my way there I suddenly saw this big power line and a small telephone line, just like it looks on my arm. That was it, I just came the “wrong” way. I hit the breaks on my car and turned around. That was a nice moment. To be back. So here are some pics from my trip around Östgötaslätten today, which included a visit to Ikea and Spångsholm.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the “Östgötaslätten” spot! Here below it is.

Yesterday I finally had my 5th and 6th tattos done. I have been waiting 6 months to get them done.
The idea with the photo-tattoo is that I wanted something to show off my love for photography. I’ve seen so many cameras and other camera related items tattooed on photographers. All of them awsome and cool. When I started thinking about those things I wondered, which camera would I choose? I mean the one I have now will not be there in a few years, and it’s not cool looking enough to be an old classic just yet. To have an old classic, which I don’t shoot with, felt wrong. Then I had this idea, it’s not the camera, it’s not there my passion lies. Even though I love my gear. It is in the photo. It alwasy has, it always will be. So a photo it was. And I love landscape photography. It keeps me calm to be out there in quiet. Just me, the camera and my photo-eye.
The other part of the figuring out, who should do it? Easy, Ellen Westholm at Zoi Tattoo. She is an amazing tattoo artist. Just amazing!
The second tattoo Ellen inked into my skin was a text. The line “Just keep me where the ligh is” from John Mayer’s song Gravity.
4 hrs in the car there, 4 hrs in the tattoo chair, 4 hrs back home. A pounding headache when I got home but oh so happy!
I will show you the finished tattoos as soon as they have healed and are presentable.
Here are som pics from my roadtrip to Malmö and Zoi Tattoo.
